This survey is carried out for Drinkaware Malta by The Sense Group (TSG). Drinkaware Malta is the campaign owner, and TSG is your contact point for all data protection requests.
Who to contact
Email thesensegroupmalta@gmail.com or write to The Sense Group, The Brewhouse, Trident Park, Central Business District, Malta.
What we collect
We collect your name, email address, phone number, consent choices and survey answers. Some answers about alcohol consumption or seeking help may reveal health information. We also record essential technical information needed to secure and operate the form, but we do not store your IP address.
Why and on what basis
We use the information to evaluate the Drinkaware Malta awareness campaign and prepare statistical reports. Your name, email address and phone number are collected to identify you and verify your participation, and are used only for this evaluation. Your contact details are also used for running the prize draw and contacting winners. No marketing contact is made. The legal bases are your consent under Article 6(1)(a) and explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, together with Malta’s Data Protection Act, Cap. 586. For running the prize draw and contacting winners, the legal basis is performance of the Prize draw terms under Article 6(1)(b).
Who receives it
Authorised TSG and Drinkaware Malta personnel and contracted hosting or technology providers may process the data under appropriate data processing agreements. We do not sell your data or use it for marketing.
Retention and anonymisation
Contact details are deleted 12 months after the survey closes. Winners’ contact details are kept until the voucher is claimed and delivered, and then for the minimum legal period; non-winners’ details are handled as set out above. Survey answers are anonymised afterwards and may be retained for statistical reporting.
International transfers
If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards will be used, such as an adequacy decision or approved standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. You may also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta at idpc.org.mt.
Choice, age and security
Participation is voluntary and restricted to people aged 18 or over. We use access controls, encryption in transit, restricted administrator access and other proportionate safeguards to protect your information.
